This was the second renovation project for this law firm on South Temple in Salt Lake City. Built originally in 1957 as a single-story brick office building, it was renovated in 1965 in the New Formalist style. At the time of its renovation, it was a stylistic outlier on South Temple, yet was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a first for a modern building in this historic district. While major features of the interior were saved, adapted and repaired, a new curved stair was added to the main entry to enhance accessibility. The renovation included new electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, along with a seismic upgrade. The building was fitted out with new energy efficient windows and a new skylight that had been leaky an abandoned years before.
